German tuner Seikel has developed an off-road package for the electric Volkswagen ID. Buzz, adding roughly 30 mm of ground clearance, aluminum underbody protection and BFGoodrich Trail Terrain T/A tires.
German company Seikel has developed an off-road kit for the electric Volkswagen ID. Buzz. The package includes a reworked suspension, new wheels, BFGoodrich Trail Terrain T/A tires and additional underbody protection. Ground clearance increases by roughly 30 mm.
Under the front and rear axles, Seikel fits 5 mm aluminum plates that replace the factory plastic covers. Seikel confirms the front guard shields the drive unit or radiator on 4Motion all-wheel drive models, while the rear plate protects the electric motor. The parts fit both short- and long-wheelbase vans.
The front plate costs €670 net, the rear one €720. Together that's €1,390. Seikel specializes in tuning Volkswagen and Ford vehicles, including preparing them for off-pavement driving.
The kit doesn't change the all-wheel-drive electronics, and the ID. Buzz doesn't gain a dedicated off-road mode. Seikel hasn't yet published the full official price of the complete kit with suspension, wheels and tires.
