XPeng Huixian lands 600-unit Middle East flying car order, unveils mass-production plant and ARIDGE brand
XPeng Huixian, a division of Chinese auto giant XPeng, has announced the largest flying-car order to date: 600 units bound for the Middle East. Contracts were signed with Ali & Sons (UAE), Almana (Qatar), AlSayer (Kuwait) and the China-Arab Chamber of Commerce. The order book for the "Ground Aircraft Carrier" model has now topped 7,000 units. For a nascent segment, that scale reads like a statement of intent.
The showcase took place in Dubai, where XPeng staged its first public demonstration of a piloted flight of its flying car. At the same time, the company said it had completed construction of a new factory in Guangzhou - the world's first facility capable of mass-producing aeromobiles. The production line is designed to turn out one vehicle every 30 minutes, with series deliveries slated for 2026. If it ramps as scheduled, the cadence would set an early benchmark for the category.
XPeng also showcased the development of the new hybrid A868 with a range of more than 500 km and a top speed above 360 km/h. Its official debut is set for November in Guangzhou. On paper, those figures push the prototype beyond showpiece status and into performance territory.
The presentation also introduced a new international brand, ARIDGE. The name blends "Air" and "Bridge," meant to symbolize a link between sky and ground. The positioning is straightforward and memorable, which matters in a field still defining its identity.
