Alfa Romeo will show the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa in Germany for the first time — one of the rarest modern versions of the model. Only ten units were built, and all of them have already been sold. The car’s public debut in the country will take place on August 29–30 at the Pista & Piloti festival in Pferdsfeld, Germany.

The Luna Rossa stands out for more than its tiny production run. The carbon aerodynamic kit developed for it generates up to 140 kg of downforce at 300 km/h — roughly five times more than the standard Giulia Quadrifoglio. The rear wing and other elements were designed with nods to the racing yacht of the Luna Rossa team, which competes in the America’s Cup.

The modern Giulia will appear alongside more than 240 historic racing and sports cars. Organizers have announced the Alfa Romeo TZ1, Giulia GTA and GTAm, as well as a Zagato Giulietta SZ Coda Tronca. A separate part of the program is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Alfa Romeo Spider and the 50th anniversary of the Trofeo Alfasud racing series.

It’s the combination of historic machinery and a ten-unit modern Giulia that makes this year’s Pista & Piloti stand out from an ordinary club meet-up.
