Renault Kwid 2027 Brazil: prices, specs and what changed
Renault refreshed the Kwid in Brazil for 2027 with a new digital cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen and a launch discount reaching 14%, while the 1.0 Flex engine stays unchanged.
Not a new engine, but a heavier discount and a completely different cabin are the biggest changes to the Renault Kwid 2027 in Brazil. The official price starts at R$82,790 for the base Evolution — roughly $14,500 — but Renault’s launch offer cuts that to R$71,090, or about $12,500. The gap reaches R$11,700, close to 14%.
The update shows most inside the cabin. Renault’s official specification lists a new 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and starting with the Techno trim there’s a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. USB-C ports, a rearview camera, TPMS and four airbags round out the changes. The trunk holds 290 liters, and ground clearance is 185 mm.
Under the hood, there’s no revolution. The naturally aspirated three-cylinder 1.0 Flex makes 71 hp and about 98 Nm on ethanol, or 68 hp and roughly 92 Nm on gasoline. The only transmission is a 5-speed manual. That sets the Brazilian Kwid apart from the Indian version, which also offers an AMT.
On gasoline, fuel consumption is about 14.4 km/l in the city and 15.4 km/l on the highway. The exterior was reworked too: a new grille, a redesigned front bumper, restyled taillights and 14-inch alloy wheels on the Outsider.
The reveal took place at Festival Interlagos in São Paulo, where a whole run of Brazilian car premieres is currently underway. The South American market keeps growing in importance for Renault: the Renault Boreal, tied closely to the region, has already picked up a second production site.
As of August 28, the official configurator lists list prices of R$82,790 for the Evolution, R$85,890 for the Techno and R$91,890 for the Outsider — roughly $14,500–$16,100. Under the launch offer, prices are lower: R$71,090, R$75,990 and R$84,890 respectively.
