Geely Battleship 700 (Zhanjian 700) 2026: GTA Architecture, EM-T Power and Specs

Geely’s new Battleship 700 off-roader integrates its ladder frame into the unibody, cutting about 100 kg versus a traditional frame, while a triple-motor EM-T hybrid system delivers 830 kW.

Not 13,920 N·m of torque, but the body construction itself may turn out to be the most interesting number behind the new Geely Battleship 700. The off-roader uses what Geely calls a GTA architecture: the load-bearing frame isn’t a separate unit bolted under the body — it’s built directly into the body structure. According to Geely, this approach is roughly 100 kg lighter than a traditional split frame, and combined with other measures it helped shave about 200 kg off the vehicle overall.

Geely claims the body’s torsional rigidity exceeds 40,000 N·m per degree, the roof can withstand a load of more than 16 tonnes, and the design frees up an extra 80 mm of vertical space inside. The SUV was already shown off earlier in its development.

The headline addition on the powertrain side is the EM-T hybrid system. A 2.0-litre turbocharged engine works alongside a three-speed hybrid transmission and three traction electric motors. Combined output reaches 830 kW, or roughly 1,129 hp, with a claimed 0–100 km/h time of 3.95 seconds. Geely also states the petrol engine’s thermal efficiency at 48.41%.

The 13,920 N·m figure needs the right context: it’s the peak torque at the wheels after multiplication through the drivetrain, so it can’t be directly compared with a regular engine’s output torque. The layout itself is the more interesting part — a front motor is joined by two independent rear motors, so all four wheels can receive anywhere from 0 to 100% of available torque, and the rear axle also gets a mechanical locking differential.

The AI chassis reads the road surface ahead and pre-emptively adjusts the powertrain, suspension and stability systems. The active hydraulic suspension is rated for a 50 ms response time and up to 150 bar of pressure. Geely says the system can detect a pothole in advance and unload the wheel before it even reaches it.

On dimensions, the production model has already cleared Chinese type approval: length comes in at 5,085 mm, width at 1,999 mm, and wheelbase at 2,900 mm. Documentation details and powertrain variants were revealed when the Battleship 700 went through certification with the Chinese regulator.

The automaker has not announced pricing yet. Geely has officially confirmed the Zhanjian 700 (also known as the Battleship 700) will launch in the serious off-roader segment in the second half of 2026.
