BMW X5 50e, M60e, iX5 60 (2027): price, launch date and specs
BMW confirms October 8 for the X5 50e, M60e and iX5 60 in Germany, while BMWBLOG estimates prices around €102,800 and €125,000 ahead of the official list.
Starting October 8, BMW will expand the German lineup of the fifth-generation X5 with three new versions: the plug-in hybrids X5 50e xDrive and M60e xDrive, plus the fully electric iX5 60 xDrive. BMW has confirmed the date itself, but pricing is a different story — the official price list still leaves those fields blank.
Citing its own sources, BMWBLOG expects the X5 50e to cost around €102,800, with the M60e and iX5 60 both landing near €125,000. These figures are best treated as preliminary estimates rather than prices BMW has announced.
The potential gap with the already available X5 40 xDrive is worth noting: its official German price is €98,800. If BMWBLOG's estimate holds up, the 490-hp X5 50e would cost just €4,000 more than the gasoline version. Official documents also confirm 612 hp for the M60e and 578 hp for the iX5 60.
The electric iX5 is the most radical version of the new generation: BMW claims up to 845 km of range and an 800-volt architecture for it.
Production of the gasoline and diesel G65 models starts earlier, while BMW officially places the launch of the electric and plug-in hybrid versions in early 2027. BMWBLOG points to a more specific timeline: assembly of the three new variants allegedly begins in December, with first European deliveries on March 6. BMW has not detailed these dates in its available official release.
The next point to watch is October 8, when it will become clear whether the real German prices for the X5 50e, M60e and iX5 60 match today's estimates.
