Toyota Probox 2026: price, T-Connect features and KINTO availability
The 2026 Toyota Probox now gets a standard DCM, T-Connect services and KINTO availability, while prices in Japan rise by 47,300 yen.
The Toyota Probox has gained a permanent connection to cloud services, and the price has moved with it. After the September 4, 2026 update, the base price in Japan rose from 1,918,400 to 1,965,700 yen — an increase of 47,300 yen. The top end went up by the same amount to 2,308,900 yen.
The main change is that Toyota’s DCM communication module is now standard on every Probox. T-Connect adds Helpnet, which can automatically contact an operator after the airbags deploy, eCare support when a warning appears on the instrument panel, and My Car Search. The latter lets owners check from a smartphone whether the driver’s door is locked and the hazard lights are off, and it can send an alert if the door is left unlocked or the hazards remain on. T-Connect requires a service contract and a TOYOTA Account, and is free for the first five years after the vehicle’s initial registration.
This is the second notable Probox update in less than a year. In November 2025, Toyota significantly expanded Toyota Safety Sense: the pre-collision system learned to cover more scenarios, including intersections, while radar cruise control and Lane Tracing Assist were added. This time the company is leaving the basic workhorse formula alone and adding functions that suit a fleet vehicle in particular: remote status checks and a communication link in the event of an accident or malfunction.
Toyota is taking a similar approach with other Japanese models. The recent Roomy update also strengthened its electronic equipment without a generation change.
At the same time, Toyota added the Probox to KINTO. In effect, this update changes not the engine or body, but the way the work vehicle can be used: it is now permanently connected and available both as a conventional purchase and through a subscription. The next truly major milestone could be a full generation change. Japanese media point to 2027–2028, but Toyota has not officially confirmed that timing.
