Honda Prelude 2027 Limited Edition: price, design and hybrid specs
Live photos reveal the Honda Prelude 2027 Limited Edition’s deep red paint, burgundy cabin and 19-inch wheels. In Japan it costs 6,306,300 yen.
The Honda Prelude 2027 Limited Edition can now be examined in detail beyond studio images. Japanese publication Car Watch released a series of real-world photos of the coupe already on sale, and they show the special edition’s defining feature at its best — Premium Crystal Garnet Metallic paint. Depending on the light, the body shifts from a rich garnet red to an almost wine-burgundy tone.
Honda describes the shade as a color with pronounced depth and gloss. To make the dark red finish feel integrated rather than decorative, the upper grille trim is painted in the same color, while the blue accents of the regular Prelude are replaced by red ones. The look is completed by 19-inch Machined Black Clear wheels and red brake calipers, with four-piston Brembo units fitted at the front.
The real-world shots also make clear that Honda did not try to make the Prelude look more aggressive. Bright light brings out the metallic effect of the paint, while the body appears noticeably darker in the evening. The cabin follows the same theme: the standard light-blue palette gives way to burgundy seats and panels, red stitching on the steering wheel and red PRELUDE embroidery in front of the passenger.
There is no performance gain behind the new color scheme. The Limited Edition keeps the 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle engine, the two-motor e:HEV hybrid system and front-wheel drive. The version has been on sale in Japan since August 20 at 6,306,300 yen. The premium for the special color and trim is 126,500 yen.
