Lancia Gamma 2026: specifications, range and launch timing
The 4.67-metre Lancia Gamma uses STLA Medium, offers a 145 hp hybrid and EVs up to 375 hp, and is due in Italian showrooms by the end of 2026.
The new Lancia Gamma has moved from preview events into the industrial phase of its launch. On 16 September 2026, the crossover was presented in Rome at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT), while Stellantis outlined the scale of the Italian supply chain: around 30 suppliers are involved in the project, roughly ten of them based in Basilicata.
Gamma was designed in Turin at the Lancia design centre, while development and industrialisation were also carried out in Italy. Series production has been assigned to the Stellantis plant in Melfi, where the new Lancia will join the Jeep Compass, DS N°8 and DS N°7. For the group, Gamma is not only a new model for the brand but also part of a broader strategy to utilise the Italian plant and support the local supply chain.
Lancia Gamma specifications: hybrid and electric versions with more than 740 km of range
Gamma is a 4.67-metre fastback crossover based on the STLA Medium platform. Both hybrid and fully electric versions have been officially confirmed. The entry hybrid produces 145 hp and is expected to cover more than 1000 km using fuel and battery power. The electric range includes 230 hp and 245 hp versions; the latter is rated at more than 740 km of range. At the top of the line-up will be a 375 hp all-wheel-drive model with a claimed range of up to 675 km.
When Lancia Gamma will reach dealers and where its next premiere will take place
For Lancia, the Gamma launch marks a return to a strategically important crossover segment after the renewal of the Ypsilon family and the revival of the HF badge. The model's role also extends beyond a single product: Stellantis links it to keeping development, production and part of the component base in Italy. According to Stellantis Italy Managing Director Antonella Bruno, Lancia's national network of 113 dealers is preparing to have Gamma in showrooms by the end of 2026.
The next major public appearance will be the Paris Motor Show on 12–18 October 2026, where Lancia Gamma is listed among Stellantis' international premieres.
