Toyota bZ7 unveiled at the 2025 Chengdu Auto Show: a spacious 600-km electric business sedan
Toyota bZ7 electric sedan debuts at the 2025 Chengdu Auto Show: up to 100 kWh battery, 600 km CLTC range, RWD/AWD, 250–300 hp, 0–100 km/h in under 7 seconds.
The new Toyota bZ7 electric sedan made its debut at the 2025 Chengdu Auto Show, marking another step in the brand’s Beyond Zero (bZ) lineup focused on battery-powered models.
Built on the e-TNGA platform, the bZ7 blends modern tech with a clean, forward-looking design. At roughly five meters long with a wheelbase of about three meters, it offers a spacious cabin with an emphasis on rear-passenger comfort. Inside, there’s a digital instrument cluster, a large multimedia display, and the Toyota Safety Sense suite. The proportions hint at a business sedan tuned for calm, long-haul travel.
The electric sedan carries a battery of up to 100 kWh, enabling up to 600 km on a single charge under the CLTC cycle. Depending on specification, the bZ7 is available with rear- or all-wheel drive. Output is rated at 250–300 hp, and 0–100 km/h takes under seven seconds. On paper, that’s brisk enough for effortless merging and passing.
Toyota positions the newcomer as a high-tech, eco-minded alternative to traditional business sedans. Sales in China are set to begin in 2025, with the model potentially reaching other markets later. The intent comes through clearly: a roomy electric sedan designed to slot neatly into everyday executive duty.
