Range Rover Sport Electric: range, battery, charging and UK price
The production Range Rover Sport Electric combines a 118.5 kWh battery, up to 609 km WLTP range, 550 PS, 850 Nm and 10–80% charging in about 22 minutes.
Power is not the most striking difference in the first electric Range Rover Sport. Its body structure is 61% stiffer than the PHEV version, while the centre of gravity sits 73 mm lower. The production model develops 550 PS and 850 Nm, the highest torque figure in the model's history.
According to Range Rover's official specification, two 260 kW electric motors provide all-wheel drive, while the 118.5 kWh battery delivers up to 609 km of WLTP range. The manufacturer also gives a more conservative estimated real-world range of up to 536 km. Charging from 10 to 80% takes about 22 minutes, and 10 minutes at a powerful DC charger can add up to 220 km of estimated range.
The final figures clarify the preliminary estimates published during the summer. At the time, industry reports cited around 330 miles, or 531 km, on one charge, but that was an estimate rather than a confirmed EPA rating. The model now has a final European certification figure of up to 609 km under WLTP.
Electrification has not turned the Sport into a road-only SUV. JLR claims a wading depth of up to 900 mm and the ability to climb gradients of up to 45 degrees. The chassis combines air suspension, active roll control, rear-wheel steering and adaptive dampers. The electronics monitor up to 100 parameters 500 times per second.
In the UK, the Dynamic SE is priced at £109,810. The full-size Range Rover Electric starts considerably higher and uses an electric system with broadly similar headline specifications. First customer deliveries of the Range Rover Sport Electric are expected in 2027.
