On October 12, Geely will present the Monjaro EM-i to a European audience for the first time, with the plug-in hybrid set to be the brand’s main new model at the Paris Motor Show. It is the next concrete step after the global launch in August: Europe was then only listed as a future expansion market, while Geely has now confirmed the date and venue of the European debut.

The Monjaro EM-i uses the GEA-Evo architecture with the GEEA 3.0 electronic system, EM-i Super Hybrid technology and electric e-AWD. During September tests of the international version, Geely disclosed a dedicated 1.5-liter turbocharged 1.5TD hybrid engine, total system output of up to 250 kW, roughly 340 hp, and 667 Nm. The AWD configuration is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.83 seconds.

Those figures cannot yet be transferred directly to the European specification. In its latest Paris announcement, Geely does not state the battery capacity, WLTP range, prices or the full homologation data for the EU version. The key points to watch on October 12 will therefore be the European specifications and sales timing. Geely’s European page currently confirms intelligent all-wheel drive, adaptive suspension and chassis tuning for European roads.
