Porsche 718 Cayman EV spy shots reveal active aero, AWD, 2026 debut
Porsche continues to put the 718 Cayman EV through its paces, and fresh photos from the Nürburgring reveal new exterior cues. For the first time, the true shape of the side window is clear, along with aerodynamic elements that echo the 911 GTS.
Beyond the styling, the new Cayman brings active aero systems, carbon-ceramic brakes, and LED Matrix headlights. The development focus is on sharper aerodynamics and improved battery cooling. Its electric platform uses vertically arranged battery modules, helping deliver a low center of gravity and ideal weight distribution—an approach that usually pays off both on a fast lap and in everyday precision.
Entry versions will feature rear-wheel drive and a single electric motor, while higher-spec models adopt a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup capable of hitting 100 km/h in under four seconds. At the same time, Porsche has confirmed a limited gasoline-powered series for those who value the classic soundtrack, a move that keeps tradition in play while the brand accelerates its electric program.
The premiere of the new generation is planned for 2026, and the sports car is already shaping up to be among the most anticipated.
