INEOS Grenadier Helmsman 2027: price, towing capacity and equipment
The Grenadier Helmsman starts at £70,995 in the UK. Its 3,500 kg towing capacity and 800 mm wading depth are not exclusive to this special edition.
There is an unusual detail about the new INEOS Grenadier Helmsman. The SUV is pitched at boat owners and watersports enthusiasts, yet the tow ball is listed as an option in the British equipment list. The Advanced Towing Pack is standard, while the Rough Pack for off-road driving is also optional.
The Grenadier was designed from the outset to tow a braked trailer weighing up to 3,500 kg. This is a capability of the underlying vehicle, not a special achievement of the Helmsman edition. The same applies to its wading depth of up to 800 mm. Regular Grenadier models, including the Quartermaster, already offer these capabilities.
The Helmsman is introduced for the 2027 model year in five-door Station Wagon and Quartermaster pickup forms. INEOS lists 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a darkened grille, matte-black roof rails, tinted rear windows and leather seats with contrasting Oyster Tan inserts. The Smooth Pack includes ambient lighting, front parking sensors and additional electrical sockets.
The standard paint choices are Eldoret Blue and Scottish White. Whiteout Blue metallic, first created for Arcane Works vehicles, costs extra, as does a contrasting roof. The premium sound system mentioned in the international announcement is available only for the United States, Canada and Mexico.
In the UK, the Grenadier Helmsman starts at £70,995 and orders are already open. Rather than a new standalone model, it is a nautical-themed special edition of the Grenadier with additional equipment for outdoor activities.
The Helmsman will be produced for a limited period, although INEOS has not announced a fixed production volume. There are no stated changes to the engine, transmission or protection against salt water. It is primarily a design and equipment edition, not a technically upgraded off-roader.
