Renault Scenic E-Tech confirmed for Australia with up to 625 km range

Renault has announced the new Renault Scenic E-Tech, an all-electric SUV, will arrive in Australia in late 2025. The Scenic badge previously appeared locally between 2001 and 2010 as a people-mover offered in five- and seven-seat versions.

This time around, the Scenic E-Tech is a thoroughly modern proposition: combustion engines make way for a fully electric setup, and the once-compact model evolves into a five-seat, midsize SUV. The shift neatly tracks today’s buyer tastes, positioning the Scenic nameplate for a broader audience.

Renault has confirmed two versions — Standard Range and Long Range. The Renault Scenic E-Tech Standard Range pairs a 60 kWh battery with a WLTP range of 430 km and a single motor delivering 125 kW and 280 Nm to the front wheels. The single-motor, front-drive layout points to an emphasis on efficiency rather than outright punch, which should suit everyday use.

In the Scenic E-Tech Long Range, a larger 87 kWh battery lifts WLTP range to 625 km. It also uses a single motor, tuned to 160 kW and 300 Nm. Measuring 4470 mm long, 1864 mm wide and 1565 mm tall on a 2785 mm wheelbase, the newcomer sits squarely in the midsize class, with proportions that suggest practical space without feeling unwieldy in the city.
