All-electric Nissan Juke confirmed for Europe, built in Sunderland, from about €30,000
Nissan is pressing ahead with a rapid refresh of its European EV lineup. Following the debuts of the new Micra and LEAF, the company has confirmed another cornerstone model: the all-electric Juke. Production will begin in Sunderland, UK, as part of the large-scale EV36Zero program backed by multi-billion-euro investment. The same plant already builds the LEAF, with an electric Qashqai also on the horizon.
The Juke EV will be a strategic model for the brand: this B-SUV crossover consistently ranks among Nissan’s best-sellers in Europe. The company does not plan to drop the combustion version right away—it will be sold alongside the EV, with the focus gradually shifting to hybrid variants featuring a new 1.8-liter engine. That measured approach fits a segment that still values choice.
Visually, the electric Juke draws inspiration from the Hyper Punk concept, keeping its coupe-like silhouette and hidden rear door handles. Its overall length will remain around 4.2 meters, helping it avoid overlap with the larger LEAF. It remains unclear which platform Nissan will choose—CMF-B EV or the more advanced CMF-EV, already adapted in Sunderland.
Early indications point to a starting price of around €30,000 before incentives, putting it shoulder to shoulder with the Renault 4 E-Tech, with which it will likely share key components and batteries. In this way, Nissan reinforces its position in Europe, offering a balanced option between the compact Micra EV and the roomier LEAF. That pricing should keep it competitive in a tightly contested segment.
