After a difficult 2025, Suzuki is preparing a major product reset—a step that feels timely. Sales in Spain fell by nearly 17%, and in 2026 the brand aims to reverse the trend with a refreshed lineup of crossovers.

Suzuki Across based on the new Toyota RAV4

The headliner will be the next-generation Suzuki Across—a model directly linked to the Toyota RAV4. Once the new RAV4 reaches the European market, Suzuki will present its own version of the SUV with only minor visual differences.

As before, the Across will focus on a hybrid powertrain, with an emphasis on plug-in PHEV technology. It has not yet been confirmed whether the model will also receive the regular HEV hybrids available from Toyota.

New electric SUV for Europe

The second major debut is scheduled for the second half of 2026. Suzuki is preparing a new crossover to offset the exit of the Jimny and Ignis from the European market due to tighter emissions standards. The leading candidate is the Suzuki e Vitara—the brand’s first fully electric SUV designed for European buyers.

A bid to get back in the game

Together, these launches mark a shift in Suzuki’s priorities. The company is betting on electrification and cooperation with Toyota, scaling back in-house development to cut costs and accelerate time to market—an approach that feels pragmatic rather than flashy, but one that could give the lineup the momentum it needs.
