Porsche is expanding its electric Cayenne lineup with a new intermediate version—the Cayenne S Electric. This model fills the gap between the base version and the flagship Turbo, offering high performance at a more accessible price of $126,300, which is over $37,000 less than the Turbo.

Equipped with two synchronous electric motors producing 536 horsepower, the Cayenne S Electric can briefly deliver up to 657 horsepower with Launch Control activated. Its standard all-wheel drive system accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds, making it quicker than the base model but not competing with the Turbo, which achieves the same in 2.4 seconds.

The Cayenne S Electric features a 113-kWh battery that supports charging up to 400 kW, allowing a charge from 10% to 80% in under 16 minutes. Its WLTP range is 653 km, translating to approximately 350 miles on the EPA cycle. Like the Turbo, the S version includes direct oil cooling for the rear motor and can be equipped with extended options such as Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, Active Ride, ceramic brakes, and the Sport Chrono package with Push-to-Pass, which adds 120 horsepower for 10 seconds.

The interior offers extensive customization options, including a two-tone leather Style package in Black/Delgada Green, 14-way Comfort seats, and premium materials. Buyers can choose from 21- and 22-inch wheel designs, along with options like Burmester 3D audio and ceramic brakes.

Despite higher prices compared to the BMW iX M70 and AMG EQE SUV, Porsche is banking on customer loyalty. The Cayenne S Electric delivers a blend of performance, technology, and status that has long defined the brand.
