EXEED EX6 2026: price, release date and specs

EXEED is preparing to launch the new mid-size EX6, and fresh spy photos give the first detailed look at its cabin. According to Autohome, the public debut is expected at the Chengdu auto show, with sales in China potentially starting as early as the third quarter of 2026. These are still preliminary estimates, not an official start-of-sales date from the automaker.

Inside, the EX6 resembles the larger EX7: the driver gets a separate instrument display, while a wide screen block sits in the center and ahead of the passenger. Seat controls have been moved to the doors, and the center console features wireless charging, two cupholders and an open storage niche below.

According to filings with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the production car measures 4,830 x 1,920 x 1,680 mm, with a 2,800 mm wheelbase. The EX6 is a five-seater and will get 19- or 20-inch wheels. For comparison, the current Chinese-market EXEED Yaoguang — sold elsewhere as the RX — is 4,781 mm long with a 2,815 mm wheelbase. That makes the new model 49 mm longer, yet its wheelbase is actually 15 mm shorter.

The main difference lies under the skin. The EX6 is billed as a plug-in hybrid with a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine rated at 115 kW — about 156 hp. Certification documents also list a lithium iron phosphate battery from Gotion High-Tech, though its capacity, electric motor output and EV range haven’t been disclosed yet. That makes it premature to judge the full hybrid system’s capabilities from the engine output alone.

There’s also a China link worth noting: earlier this year, EXEED officially showed the EXEED EXLANTIX EX6 behind closed doors in Beijing, describing it as a new model blending coupe and traditional SUV traits. The brand has not yet confirmed a timeline for bringing the EX6 to other overseas markets.

If the EX6 reaches international showrooms, it will differ noticeably from the current RX: instead of the RX’s 249-hp 2.0-liter turbo and all-wheel drive, EXEED is betting on a plug-in hybrid setup for the newer model.
