Volkswagen ID.EVO concept debuts with bold electric design
At the Guangzhou Auto Show, Volkswagen unveiled one of the event’s standout concepts — the new ID.EVO. It marked the model’s first public appearance, developed by Volkswagen Anhui, and it effectively opens a new chapter in the brand’s electric design language.
According to SPEEDME.RU, the ID.EVO showcases a radically different take on the brand look: slim LED “eyes,” a black band of diode dots across the nose, a minimalist bumper and crisp, pared‑back surfacing. The wheel arches are framed in glossy black, while the unusual honeycomb‑style wheels reinforce the futuristic vibe. The design choices land with intent, keeping the look clean and confident rather than flashy.
Its silhouette reads like a sporty crossover with short overhangs and a strong rear pillar. The taillights are linked by a thin light strip, forming the “horizon” signature for the next wave of ID models. The proportions suggest purpose without losing a sense of restraint.
Volkswagen is not sharing exact specifications yet, but it stresses that ID.EVO is an early look at the next generation of the brand’s electric cars — including a new platform, a reworked cabin architecture and increased driving range. The first production models based on ID.EVO are set to reach the Chinese market in the coming years.
The concept drew strong attention in Guangzhou and became one of the show’s most talked‑about EVs thanks to Volkswagen’s bold design pivot.
