Volvo to unveil EX60 electric crossover on January 21, 2026
Volvo Cars has set the date for the global debut of the new EX60: the electric crossover will be unveiled on January 21, 2026 during an online broadcast from Stockholm. Brand representatives told SPEEDME.RU about the plan on September 3.
The EX60 will be the first model built on the company’s latest platform, which promises more driving range than any previous Volvo and an entirely new user experience. It will also mark the brand’s first fully electric entry in the mid-size premium SUV segment—an arena where Volvo already holds a strong position. The date sets a clear marker on the brand’s EV calendar, and the positioning feels like a natural progression for a company strong in this class.
Series production of the EX60 is scheduled to begin in the first half of 2026 at the Torslanda plant (Gothenburg). The model is slated to become one of the cornerstones of the company’s strategy to transition fully to electric power.
For Volvo, it is not only a significant product launch, but also another step toward its ambition to become a carbon-neutral manufacturer by 2040. The promise of a longer range and a fresh user experience suggests a confident push into the next phase of the brand’s electrification roadmap.
