Mercedes-Benz has officially set the premiere date for its new VLE minivan: the world debut will take place on March 10, 2026, in Stuttgart. The VLE is intended to replace both the classic V-Class and the electric EQV, with an emphasis on a fresh electric-focused architecture and a more passenger-car take on comfort and handling.

A teaser highlights front-end details, including MultiBeam LED headlights with signature star motifs, signaling the model’s higher positioning. Mercedes presents the VLE as a bridge between a sedan and a multi-purpose vehicle: it promises maximum comfort, the space and versatility of a van, and the more precise road manners typical of the brand’s cars. On paper, that reads as a deliberate move toward a more refined, driver-friendly family hauler.

The technical roadmap is clear: fully electric versions will arrive first, with hybrids joining in 2027 and unified with the brand’s new passenger models. Inside, solutions on the level of the upper segments are expected, including the MBUX Superscreen; the equipment list also mentions air suspension, wheels up to 22 inches, and seating for up to eight. Taken together, the specification points to a premium brief executed with some restraint.

Figures already cited in the context of testing sound confident: a maximum range of up to 550 km on a single charge and rapid charging from 10 to 80 percent in around 15 minutes.
