Lexus ES electric model coming to Europe in 2026 with advanced features

Lexus has officially confirmed that the first-ever electric ES will launch in the European market in the second half of 2026. The eighth-generation model, which debuted at the Shanghai Auto Show, is built on the TNGA GA-K platform, adapted for electric powertrains.

The lineup includes two fully electric versions and a hybrid. The base ES 350e sedan features front-wheel drive and 19-inch wheels, promising a range of up to 483 km. The more powerful ES 500e comes with all-wheel drive. The hybrid version uses a 2.5-liter gasoline engine paired with an electric system, offering both FWD and AWD configurations.

Among the technical innovations is a multi-link rear suspension, making its first appearance in the ES, along with the Lexus Safety System+ 4.0 active safety suite.

The design draws inspiration from the LF-ZC concept: the car has grown 16.5 cm longer, with the wheelbase extended by 7.6 cm. Inside, there’s a new multimedia core featuring a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14-inch touchscreen, plus a Mark Levinson audio system.
