Lamborghini Urus Performante hybrid with 800+ horsepower
Lamborghini is testing an updated Urus Performante, which will debut as a hybrid for the first time. The new version will be based on the Urus SE, featuring a plug-in hybrid system that combines a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 engine with an electric motor. The SE already produces 789 horsepower, and preliminary data suggests the Performante will exceed 800 horsepower.
Prototypes show moderate exterior changes, including revised air intakes, new aerodynamic elements, more carbon fiber, and the signature Performante spoiler. New wheels and an upgraded suspension are also expected.
This model could mark the final evolution of the current Urus generation. After canceling the fully electric Lanzador, Lamborghini is likely to extend the lifecycle of its hybrid SUVs. The company has already confirmed that a new V8 engine, capable of revving up to 10,000 rpm, will be used in at least two model generations.
The Urus Performante is expected to premiere in the second half of 2026, with a successor to the current SUV potentially arriving no earlier than 2027.
