BYD 2026 SEAL: updates, specs, and pricing in Spain
BYD has launched sales of the updated 2026 SEAL in Spain. The electric sedan retains its previous technical foundation but has received improvements in practicality, equipment, and design, with a starting price below €35,000 when factoring in support programs.
What's Changed in the Model
The main update is increased trunk volume. The rear trunk now holds 485 liters, while the front trunk has grown to 72 liters. The construction of the front compartment has also been simplified.
In terms of design, new colors are available, wheels have been updated, and the rear section has been revised: it now features the BYD logo instead of a slogan. Inside, some decorative elements have been removed, and the rotating screen has been replaced with a fixed horizontal display.
Equipment and Technology
The 2026 SEAL gains a Bluetooth digital key and updated driver assistance systems, including fatigue monitoring. For its segment, the base equipment remains generous.
The lineup includes three versions: rear-wheel-drive models and an all-wheel-drive variant with dual motors.
Technical Specifications
The base version offers 228 horsepower and a WLTP range of up to 460 km. The mid-spec model develops 313 hp and achieves up to 570 km, while the top AWD version delivers 530 hp, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, and has a range of up to 520 km.
Conclusion
BYD is betting on evolution rather than revolution. The 2026 SEAL has become more practical and technologically advanced while maintaining a competitive price. This strengthens its position in Europe, where the balance between cost, range, and equipment is crucial.
