MINI Cooper SE Paul Smith Edition puts style ahead of hardware
MINI has unveiled a new limited edition of its electric hatchback: the Cooper SE Paul Smith Edition. The model continues the brand’s collaboration with the well-known British designer and puts the emphasis not on engineering changes, but on style and individuality.
The new version is offered in three body colours — Midnight Black II, Statement Gray and Inspired White — with signature Nottingham Green accents. The exterior treatment is rounded out by unique logos, exclusive badges and design details including projection lighting and special door-sill trims.
The cabin follows Paul Smith’s familiar visual language, using recycled materials, contrasting blue stitching, Dark Steel decorative inserts and signature details such as the “rabbit” motif. The interior also includes JCW sports seats, a panoramic roof and a premium Harman Kardon audio system.
The equipment level is suitably up to date, with augmented navigation, surround-view cameras, adaptive cruise control, driving assistants and parking assistance. At the same time, the car retains the standard Cooper SE electric powertrain, with no major technical revisions.
In Australia, pricing starts at AU$60,990, or about $43,570, making it noticeably more expensive than the base version. MINI also plans to extend the Paul Smith Edition line to other body styles, including three-door and five-door versions as well as the convertible.
In effect, MINI is leaning further into the trend of fashion-industry collaborations, turning the car into a style object. In a crowded EV market, that becomes one way to stand apart — not through power or range, but through design and the emotion of ownership.
