Volvo has unveiled the new electric EX60 in North America and opened orders in the United States. The model made its debut in New York and enters the biggest segment of the EV market — premium midsize crossovers. Pricing starts at $58,400.

The P6 and P10 AWD versions are available from launch, with the long-range P12 AWD to follow later. The base EX60 P6 covers up to 307 miles (494 km), the P10 AWD up to 322 miles (518 km). The P12 AWD tops out at 400 miles, or roughly 644 km.

The EX60 is built on Volvo's new SPA3 electric platform. It introduces an 800-volt architecture, cell-to-body construction, new in-house electric motors, new battery cells and megacasting. Volvo claims the EX60 has the lowest carbon footprint of any of its electric models — on par with the smaller EX30.

Charging is another strong suit. In 10 minutes the EX60 can add up to 173 miles, or about 278 km. Depending on the version, peak charging power is either 320 or 370 kW, and a 10–80% top-up takes 16–19 minutes. This is the first Volvo with a factory-fitted North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, so owners get adapter-free access to more than 29,000 Tesla Supercharger stations across the US.

The base EX60 P6 Plus already comes with a 15-inch OLED display (38 cm), Google built-in with the Gemini assistant, Pilot Assist, a 21-speaker Bose sound system and the Safe Space Technology suite. The Ultra trim adds ventilated Nappa leather seats, a 28-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, an electrochromic panoramic roof and integrated heated booster seats in the second row.

Four trims in total. The EX60 P6 Plus is $58,400, the P6 Ultra $65,000, the P10 AWD Plus $60,750 and the P10 AWD Ultra $67,350. Test drives kick off this summer, with deliveries to follow shortly after.
