The Italian market is set to receive two new Chinese SUVs at once. China Car Company, which already imports several Chinese brands and is a member of UNRAE, has signed deals to bring in the Bestune T77 1.5T DCT Premium and the plug-in hybrid Bestune Joy EE07 PHEV Luxury. Both models were shown at Automotive Dealer Day in Verona. The company’s press office shared the news with SPEEDME on May 20.

The Bestune T77 is the more affordable option. It is a front-wheel-drive crossover measuring 4505 mm, powered by a 1.5-litre turbo engine with 160 hp paired with a 7-speed DCT dual-clutch gearbox. Top speed is 181 km/h and WLTC fuel consumption sits at 7.1 l/100 km. Inside, drivers get an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and a suite of driver assistance systems.

The Joy EE07 PHEV plays in a different league. It is 4745 mm long, and its plug-in hybrid setup combines a 228-hp electric motor with a 1.5-litre turbo engine producing 150 hp. The 30.9 kWh LFP battery delivers up to 210 km of electric driving, while total range is claimed at 1555 km. The 0–100 km/h sprint takes 7.5 seconds and top speed is 180 km/h.

For buyers, the hybrid is the real draw: around town it behaves almost like an EV, yet on long trips it does not force drivers to plan the route around charging stops. And for Italy, it is another signal that Chinese brands are entering the market not just with cheap EVs, but also with family SUVs offering long range and rich equipment.
