Audi A2 e-tron 2026: range, battery, charging and expected price
Audi A2 e-tron debuts on September 7, 2026 with a 58 kWh usable LFP battery, 105 kW charging and a provisional UK range of up to 380 miles.
The production Audi A2 e-tron no longer needs to be guessed from camouflage: Motor.es has published images of the production electric car inside and out. The car keeps the tall one-box profile of the old A2, the rear window split by a spoiler, and gains Audi’s modern cabin with a curved display panel.
Audi’s official calendar sets the world premiere of the A2 e-tron for today, September 7, 2026. Paris will therefore be a later public showing rather than the model’s first unveiling.
Audi has already disclosed the main technical data. The 140 kW, or 190 hp, version is listed with a 61 kWh gross and 58 kWh usable LFP battery, energy consumption of 12.8 kWh/100 km and a drag coefficient of Cd 0.24. DC fast charging reaches 105 kW, while a 10-to-80% charge takes 26 minutes. The car also supports V2L and V2H.
The 649 km WLTP figure is more complicated. Several media outlets cite it as a possible maximum, while Audi’s UK page currently lists a preliminary range of up to 380 miles — about 611 km — and stresses that the final value depends on the battery, trim and equipment. For now, 649 km is better treated as a provisional target than an approved specification for the production version.
The expected starting price in Germany is around €38,200, but this figure is still only an estimate. For comparison, the related Volkswagen ID.3 Neo officially starts in Germany at €33,995 and offers up to 629 km WLTP.
In May, the A2 e-tron had already reached the road-testing stage and was being considered as Audi’s new electric entry point in place of the A1 and Q2. The main uncertainty now concerns the final battery range, power outputs and homologated driving range, details the official premiere is expected to settle.
