2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT: price, 900+ hp and charity auction
Dana White paid $1.5 million for a charity lot pairing a one-off 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT with more than 900 hp and a custom 2005 Ram SRT-10 V10.
A headline claiming the Ram Rumble Bee sold for $750,000 sounds dramatic, but the official auction mechanics were different. Dana White paid $1.5 million for a single lot containing two pickup trucks, so there is no reliable way to assign a separate sale price to either vehicle.
The centerpiece was the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT VIN 001, the first customer-bound example of the new version. It is not a regular production SRT. The standard truck uses a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 rated at 777 hp and is claimed to reach 60 mph in 3.4 seconds. Ram says the production Rumble Bee SRT will start below $95,000.
The auctioned VIN 001 received much more extensive work. Direct Connection fitted a 3.0-liter supercharger that pushed output beyond 900 hp, along with a MagnaFlow exhaust. It also gained a two-tone Molten Red/Diamond Black finish, 22-inch wheels and a custom plaque identifying it as a one-of-one build.
The second part of the lot was a custom 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 SRT-10. Its appeal comes from a very different kind of hardware: under the hood is a naturally aspirated 8.3-liter V10 derived from the Dodge Viper engine. The buyer therefore received two eras of American performance pickups in one lot, pairing an old-school V10 with a modern supercharged V8.
There is another important detail that makes the auction price misleading as a market benchmark. This was a charity sale, and Barrett-Jackson waived all fees and commissions. The full hammer price will be split equally between the Folds of Honor Foundation and the UFC Foundation, so the $1.5 million figure should not be treated as the market value of either the Rumble Bee SRT or the older SRT-10.
For regular buyers, the reference points are very different. The base Rumble Bee with a 5.7-liter HEMI starts at $59,995 before destination charges, while the production 777-hp SRT is priced below $95,000. The auctioned VIN 001 differs from both in output and specification, making a direct price comparison inappropriate.
