Nissan Rogue 2027 prices and specs: VC-Turbo vs e-POWER Hybrid
The 2027 Nissan Rogue starts at $29,690 with a 201-hp VC-Turbo. The 225-hp e-POWER Hybrid costs from $35,490, adds standard AWD and targets 38 mpg combined.
Nissan has effectively split the 2027 Rogue into two crossovers with very different powertrains. In the U.S., the gasoline version starts at $29,690, while the new Rogue Hybrid e-POWER begins at $35,490. The $5,800 gap is somewhat misleading, however: the regular Rogue opens with the S FWD trim, while the hybrid starts directly with SV AWD.
A like-for-like comparison looks less dramatic. The gasoline Rogue SV AWD is priced at $32,090, versus $35,490 for the Rogue Hybrid SV AWD. That makes the e-POWER premium $3,400 at the same SV trim level with all-wheel drive. The gap is similar for Platinum AWD: $39,790 versus $43,490, or $3,700.
The hardware is fundamentally different. The regular Rogue retains a 1.5-liter VC-Turbo rated at 201 hp and an Xtronic CVT, whose calibration Nissan revised for more linear acceleration. The new Hybrid uses third-generation e-POWER: a 1.5-liter turbo engine works as a generator, while the wheels are driven exclusively by two electric motors. Total output reaches 225 hp, and all-wheel drive is standard on every version. Nissan explains the e-POWER principle in detail on the official page for the new Rogue Hybrid.
There is also a notable difference in fuel economy. Nissan rates the gasoline S/SV FWD at 30 mpg combined, or about 7.8 L/100 km. The Rogue Hybrid is targeted at 38 mpg, roughly 6.2 L/100 km, despite coming with all-wheel drive. Expressed in L/100 km, that is about 21% lower consumption. The hybrid figure is still based on Nissan internal testing and remains subject to EPA confirmation.
The hybrid also gets a more modern electronics package: a 12.3-inch screen is standard, 14.3-inch displays with Google built-in and Google Gemini are available, along with 15 W Qi2 magnetic charging and an updated ProPILOT Assist system.
The first Rogue Hybrid SR AWD models with the Technology Package are due at dealers in late fall, while the full SV, SR and Platinum lineup is scheduled for early 2027. Rogue buyers are therefore getting more than a choice between two powertrains: the regular crossover remains the cheaper entry point, while e-POWER adds 24 hp, standard electric all-wheel drive and, provisionally, substantially lower fuel consumption.
