Volkswagen offers $12,500 bonus on remaining 2025 ID.4s in the US
Volkswagen is offering a $12,500 Customer Bonus on new unused 2025 ID.4 crossovers in the US as the company clears the final stock after ending local production.
Volkswagen of America is offering a major incentive on the remaining ID.4 inventory. New, unused 2025 model-year electric crossovers qualify for a $12,500 Customer Bonus. For the 2026 ID.4, the bonus is notably smaller at $6,000.
According to Volkswagen’s official terms, the offer is available through participating dealers until November 2, 2026, and applies to both purchases and leases. The company describes ID.4 inventory as “very limited.” The bonus cannot be redeemed for cash and does not apply to Fleet or Dealership Sale Program transactions.
The size of the incentive reflects what is happening with the model in the United States. Volkswagen Group has officially confirmed the end of local ID.4 production in Chattanooga, with the plant shifting toward higher-volume combustion-engine models, above all the Atlas. Costs associated with ending US production of the ID.4 totaled about €0.5 billion.
Earlier this year, Volkswagen said existing dealer inventory of the ID.4 should be enough to meet demand into 2027. The current $12,500 incentive shows how aggressively the company is now trying to move the remaining 2025 model-year vehicles.
The current offer ends on November 2, but for the 2025 ID.4 the more immediate limit may be the number of vehicles left: Volkswagen itself says inventory is very small.
