2027 Kia Sorento price, engines and trim changes
The 2027 Kia Sorento starts at $32,590 in the US. Every gasoline trim is $200 more expensive, while the engines and transmissions carry over.
The Kia Sorento enters the 2027 model year with almost no technical changes, but the price list has been rewritten across the board. The base LX now costs $32,590 in the United States. A comparison with the previous price list shows that all ten gasoline trims, not just the LX, became exactly $200 more expensive.
The mandatory $1,495 destination charge is not included in those prices. That puts the actual starting figure before taxes and dealer fees at $34,085. The range-topping X-Pro SX-Prestige costs $47,990 before destination and $49,485 with it.
There is no extra charge for new hardware when moving from 2026 to 2027 because the powertrains are unchanged. The LX and S use a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter GDI with 191 hp and about 245 Nm, paired with an eight-speed automatic. From the EX upward, Kia uses a 2.5 Turbo with 281 hp and 422 Nm, coupled to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The update itself is minimal. Kia says the main change is the color palette: Jungle Green has been dropped and Black Jade Green, already used on the new Telluride, takes its place. The ten gasoline trims and the main powertrains carry over from the previous model year.
The pricing effect is modest. A $200 increase on the base model is roughly 0.6%, while on the X-Pro SX-Prestige it is about 0.4%. The new model year therefore barely changes the Sorento position on price, especially because the unchanged $1,495 destination fee is more than seven times the annual price increase.
