Renault’s official Spanish website now lets buyers configure the updated Megane E-Tech with a 67 kWh LFP battery and up to 501 km of WLTP range. A separate address still opens a page for the previous version with a 60 kWh battery and 468 km of range. Buyers therefore need to check the specifications of the exact car rather than rely on the model name alone.

In the new Renault España configurator, the Techno version is advertised from €28,666. However, the cash price without promotions is €37,685. The difference reaches €9,019, or almost 24%.

The €28,666 figure is not a normal retail price without conditions. The advertised amount is calculated with financing through RCI Banque and includes Renault promotions, a contribution under Spain’s CAE energy-saving certificate scheme and an assumed €4,500 Auto+ state incentive, provided the buyer qualifies. The actual cost therefore depends on eligibility for incentives and financing terms.

The car uses a front-mounted electric motor rated at 160 kW, or 220 hp, and produces 300 Nm. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 7.6 seconds. The new LFP battery provides up to 501 km of WLTP range in the Spanish configuration, while the previous 60 kWh version is rated at 468 km. The gain is 33 km.

The Paris display on 12 October was not the first presentation of these changes: Renault had already revealed the new 67 kWh LFP battery and revised French pricing on 7 July. Specifications also vary by market and configuration. Germany quotes up to 494 km WLTP, French material says up to 500 km, while the current Spanish configurator shows 501 km. Those figures should not be treated as specifications for one identical trim without stating the market.

There are extra costs too. According to Renault’s official Spanish price list, a 22 kW AC onboard charger costs another €1,530. The standard unit is rated at 11 kW. A V2L adapter for powering external devices is offered separately for €210.

The optional 22 kW unit is not required for DC fast charging at up to 165 kW because it applies only to AC charging. With a suitable DC charger, the new battery can charge from 15 to 80% in about 24 minutes. Paying for 22 kW AC is therefore most useful for drivers who regularly use compatible three-phase AC chargers.

The appearance of the new configurator has removed the previous uncertainty over availability of the updated version on Renault’s Spanish website. An online configuration is not a purchase contract, however. Before ordering, buyers should verify battery capacity, the exact WLTP version, the non-promotional price, eligibility for state and energy incentives, financing terms and the price of selected options.
