Unplugged Performance UP-RW forged wheels toughen the Tesla Cybertruck without a range hit, adding replaceable curb-rash ring and lifetime crack/bend warranty.

Tesla positions the Cybertruck as a near-invulnerable pickup, yet its stock cast wheels have long stood out as a weak link. Tuning house Unplugged Performance has a remedy: the UP-RW Cyber Road Warrior, a forged wheel set engineered for a vehicle weighing over 3 tons and for the truck’s high torque.

Fully forged from 6061-T6 aluminum, the wheels are rated at 1,450 kg per corner, versus about 1,140 kg for the standard setup. The team notes that cast wheels are more vulnerable to impacts and potholes because of potential porosity and brittleness under extreme loads, while the new set is built for tough use. On a heavy EV, that extra margin inspires confidence.

Crucially, range takes no hit. Unplugged compared three identical Cybertrucks over the same desert route: a stock Foundation Series truck, one on factory Core Wheels, and one on Cyber Road Warrior wheels. The new rims delivered efficiency on par with Tesla’s most aerodynamic wheels and better than the base configuration—reassuring for anyone wary of trading durability for efficiency.

A signature touch of the Road Warrior line is a replaceable outer ring that absorbs curb rash; instead of an expensive repair, you simply swap the ring. The wheels fit the stock 20-inch tires and come with a lifetime warranty covering cracks and bent rims. It’s a practical, owner-friendly solution that addresses a real pain point without compromising the truck’s everyday usability.
