Audi has unveiled updates for the 2027 A6 E-Tron and Q6 E-Tron. These are a series of targeted but significant refinements, ranging from the return of physical controls to improvements in regenerative braking, driver assistance systems, and multimedia. The models have become more user-friendly, intuitive, and sporty.

Key Highlights

A key change is the introduction of two physical scroll wheels on the steering wheel, replacing touch-sensitive pads. Audi drew inspiration from the Concept C, aiming to restore tactile feedback and reduce false activations.

The graphics, contrast, and menu structure for the multimedia and instrument cluster displays have been reworked. Icons are now more visually distinct, making it easier to find functions and improving readability while driving.

Technical Upgrades

Audi has enhanced the one-pedal driving mode. The car can now come to a complete stop without using the friction brakes, boosting energy efficiency.

During charging, a Power Nap mode is available. This is a relaxing program that adjusts lighting and sound for short breaks. Similar "sensory worlds" can also be activated while the vehicle is in motion.

A new Dynamic Plus mode makes the electric vehicles noticeably more engaging. It alters response, traction control settings, and even allows for light, controlled drifts. Importantly, this mode is available not just for S versions, but also for the standard A6 and Q6 E-Tron models.

Additional Refinements and Pricing

A 4K dashcam and the passenger screen have become more accessible. Passengers can now connect game controllers and headphones. The voice assistant has also been updated; it can now adjust driving settings and explain vehicle functions.

Prices have increased moderately. The A6 E-Tron now starts at $66,700, while the Q6 E-Tron starts at $64,500. Some versions, including the Sportback, have actually become cheaper compared to the 2025 model year.

Overall, the updates to the Audi A6 and Q6 E-Tron aim to enhance the real-world experience. They focus on improving usability, readability, driving feel, and functionality for everyday scenarios. The 2027 models feel more modern and lively, without undergoing radical change.
