Specialty Vehicle Engineering continues to expand its legendary Yenko/SC lineup, demonstrating that the electric vehicle era hasn't eliminated demand for brutal powertrains. Following its series of tuning packages for the Corvette, the American tuner has introduced two major new offerings: the 2026 Chevrolet Silverado Yenko/SC pickup and a Stage III upgrade for the Corvette E-Ray.The Silverado Yenko/SC is based on a 6.2-liter V8 engine that now features a supercharger, boosting output to 1,000 horsepower. This truck has been converted to rear-wheel drive and fitted with a lowered suspension—two inches lower in front and five inches in the rear—along with Fox dampers and a rare six-speed manual transmission for this segment. It rides on 22-inch forged wheels with Brembo brakes, a sport exhaust system, and signature Yenko graphics. In practice, this package essentially transforms the vehicle into a street-legal muscle truck. It retains the two-door Silverado configuration but performs like a hidden sports car.Meanwhile, SVE has launched a far more extreme project: the Corvette E-Ray Stage III. This hybrid supercar serves as the platform for a heavily modified 6.2-liter LT2 engine equipped with twin Garrett turbochargers.A Flex Fuel system allows it to run on either standard 91-octane gasoline or E85. The claimed output is 1,564 horsepower, making this variant more powerful than the upcoming factory ZR1X. The package includes an upgraded DCT transmission, lightweight wheels, an enhanced exhaust, signature trim elements, and expanded boost control functionality. Both projects will be produced in limited runs, underscoring SVE's commitment to preserving the Yenko philosophy within GM's modern lineup—offering an alternative to an increasingly electric world.
