At the 2025 Chengdu Auto Show, Volkswagen unveiled a special take on its electric compact: the ID.3 GTX Kit Edition. SPEEDME.RU reports the model is aimed at buyers who want a sportier edge without giving up the city-friendly footprint and everyday practicality of an urban EV.In terms of size, it keeps compact proportions: length 4,266 mm, width 1,778 mm, height 1,568 mm, with a 2,765 mm wheelbase. The trunk ranges from 385 to 1,267 liters, making it versatile for daily use.Technically, the newcomer uses a single electric motor rated at 125 kW (170 hp) and 310 Nm of torque. The 0–50 km/h sprint takes just 3.1 seconds, while top speed is limited to 160 km/h. An LFP battery delivers up to 451 km on the Chinese CLTC cycle, with average consumption of 13.4 kWh/100 km. It supports fast charging: replenishing from 30 to 80% takes about 45 minutes. On paper, the figures promise a brisk response in stop-and-go traffic. The exterior leans into the GTX theme with a bold, sport-focused look: a special livery with red and gray accents, an aggressive front bumper, and black inserts. At the rear, there’s GTX badging and a sportier aero kit. Inside, dark materials with red stitching set the tone, paired with a sport steering wheel and seats with pronounced side bolsters. The result feels cohesive—flashy enough to stand out, yet restrained for daily driving. This version is aimed primarily at the Chinese market and forms part of Volkswagen’s strategy to broaden its line of performance-leaning GTX electric models.
