Starting in July 2026, the entry-level BMW M2 in the high-performance BMW M lineup will be available with the M Performance Track Kit, specifically designed for racetrack use. The kit will be priced at 23,500 euros plus tax in Germany, with all prices excluding installation. The M Performance Track Kit features a manually adjustable front splitter for track use, integrated with a front diffuser. This is complemented by non-adjustable diffusers on the wheel arches and an air intake under the oil cooler. The front splitter/diffuser significantly increases downforce, while the aerodynamic elements provide even more grip on the track.Additionally, the car is equipped with a manually adjustable rear wing, similar to those on the BMW M4 GT4 and BMW M4 GT3 sports models. It has a unique "race mode" where the rear wing shifts back 50 millimeters, greatly enhancing its aerodynamic efficiency. In "road mode," the wing remains in a position compliant with German road traffic regulations (StVZO) and does not exceed permissible vehicle dimensions. The angle of attack of the rear wing can also be adjusted, offering two settings for maximum downforce on the rear axle depending on track characteristics. Another notable and unique feature is the integrated stop light in the rear wing.Other elements include a chassis with threaded adjustment, 4-position rebound and compression damping, adjustable support bearings, and the first special damper system for motorsport that also meets road traffic requirements. Moreover, the chassis can be lowered by 20 millimeters at the front and rear, with stepless height adjustment. The Track Kit components were developed in collaboration with BMW M specialists, drawing on experience from countless races and victories. All components were aerodynamically optimized in the BMW wind tunnel. The kit's parts interact uniquely with each other, especially when paired with optional Ultra Track tires.Furthermore, the M Performance exhaust system for the new BMW M2 CS is now available as an additional, particularly attractive option for personalization. The optimized exhaust gas discharge system enhances the distinctive sound of the 390 kW/530 hp inline six-cylinder engine with BMW M TwinPower Turbo technology. The tuning system allows selection from several modes that optimize exhaust operation, all delivering an exciting, exceptionally sporty engine sound. The optional M Performance exhaust tips are made from carbon and titanium—two materials well-proven in motorsport—giving the rear of the BMW M2 CS a unique, recognizable appearance. The M Performance exhaust system is approximately 8 kilograms lighter than the standard one and costs from 8,343.50 euros in Germany, excluding installation.
