Subaru is preparing to debut a new three-row electric crossover that will become the brand's largest EV. The model will premiere at the New York Auto Show.

New Electric Crossover and Platform

The company is revealing minimal details so far, but it's already known that the new model will have around 420 horsepower. It appears the vehicle will be closely related to the electric Toyota Highlander. This means sharing a common platform and unified powertrains, an approach Subaru and Toyota have used in previous projects.

Technical Features and Equipment

The crossover is expected to get batteries with up to 95 kWh capacity and front-wheel or all-wheel drive variants. Range could reach up to 500 km depending on configuration.

The interior will feature a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a large 14-inch multimedia screen. Modern cabin lighting systems and expanded charging capabilities are also promised.

Subaru's Strategy in the EV Segment

This new model is part of Subaru's expansion of its electric lineup, which currently lags behind competitors in the number of models offered. The company is actively leveraging its collaboration with Toyota to speed up development. The vehicle is expected to hit the market closer to the end of 2026, alongside Toyota's equivalent model.
