Volkswagen Polo CityLife launches in Australia with upgraded kit

Volkswagen has unveiled a special edition of its city hatchback, the Polo CityLife, positioned between the Life and Style trims. In Australia, it is priced at $32,790.

The Polo CityLife becomes the brand’s third model to receive a similar package after the T-Cross and T-Roc. It features a dedicated badge on the tailgate and a richer equipment list that previously sat in higher trims or on the options sheet. The idea is simple and effective: add the good stuff without forcing buyers into the most expensive model.

The spec sheet includes dual-zone climate control, tinted windows, 16-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, semi-automatic parking, blind-spot monitoring, and a collision-avoidance system. There’s also adaptive cruise control, LED lighting, a lane-keeping system, a rain sensor, wireless charging, and an 8-inch infotainment setup with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It’s a thoughtful bundle that gives the Polo a more upmarket feel in daily use.

Under the hood sits a familiar 1.0-liter TSI turbo engine rated at 85 kW (115 hp) and 200 Nm, paired with a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive. Proven hardware, straightforward execution—exactly what a city hatchback like this benefits from.

Australian showrooms are expected to see the Volkswagen Polo CityLife in November 2025.
