Bentley is taking a significant step as it prepares its first fully electric SUV. The model, called Barnato, will mark a new chapter for the brand and is due to reach the market in 2027.The newcomer will sit below the Bentayga and will be built on the PPE platform from the Volkswagen Group, which is already used by Audi and Porsche. That points to a modern architecture, strong efficiency and support for fast charging.The shift to electric vehicles is also changing more than just the product itself. At the Crewe factory, new standards are being introduced, including special clothing with carbon fibres to protect against static electricity when working with batteries.Technical specifications have not yet been disclosed, but the model is expected to deliver the level of comfort and performance expected of a Bentley.
