At the Beijing Auto Show, BYD officially presented the third generation of the popular Yuan Plus crossover, a model that has already become one of the strongest performers in the electric vehicle segment. The new model keeps its familiar identity, but looks more modern. The front end still follows the brand’s “dragon face” design language, though the lines are now smoother and more aerodynamic. A chrome element visually links the headlights, making the car appear wider and giving it a more substantial presence. The dimensions have also grown: length is now 4665 mm, while the wheelbase measures 2770 mm, improving cabin space. At the rear, the model features a signature LED light bar with a wave-like pattern, now one of its defining design details. The biggest update is technical. The crossover receives the second generation of BYD’s Blade batteries, helping increase driving range to 630 km. Buyers will be offered two versions with different battery capacities and output of up to 240 kW. The car also supports fast charging, making it more convenient for everyday use and longer journeys. With the new model, BYD continues to strengthen its position among accessible electric crossovers, offering a mix of price, technology and everyday practicality.BYD has not radically changed a successful formula — and that is a sensible move. The Yuan Plus remains one of the most balanced electric cars on the market, while the extra range and power only reinforce its position.
