MG is expanding its crossover lineup in Spain with the new HS Hybrid+, a 225-hp HEV pitched against the segment’s heavy hitters, including the Toyota RAV4.It combines a 1.5-liter gasoline engine rated at 143 hp with a 199-hp electric motor for a total output of 225 hp. The sprint to 100 km/h takes 7.9 seconds, while WLTP fuel use averages just 5.5 l/100 km. On paper, those figures land it squarely in the sweet spot for family crossovers.With a 1.8 kWh battery, the HS Hybrid+ can cover short distances on electric power.
