Ram teases a new beast: a louder, lower 1500 is coming

Ram has dropped a teaser of a new performance Ram 1500 with Dana White. The brand promises the truck will be loud — and a successor to the Dodge Ram SRT-10 may be on the way.

Ram is preparing a new performance version of the 1500 pickup. The company has dropped a short teaser on social media and promised the upcoming model «will be loud». The clip also features UFC boss Dana White — the face of Ram’s latest ad campaigns.

The brand is keeping the name and specs under wraps. The footage reveals an aggressive front-end treatment, a sport bar in the bed and, most likely, a lowered stance. The video is heavy on tire smoke — a hint at a powerful engine and a focus on hard launches and burnout theatrics.

The main intrigue is the engine. After bringing the HEMI back to the Ram lineup, brand chief Tim Kuniskis promised more high-output versions. The Ram 1500 SRT TRX has already been revealed with a supercharged 6.2 V8 producing 777 hp and 921 Nm. That truck hits 97 km/h in 3.5 seconds, with top speed capped at 190 km/h.

Sources suggest the new project could be a spiritual successor to the Dodge Ram SRT-10. That model packed a V10 engine and rolled off the line for the last time in 2006. There’s no direct confirmation that the SRT-10 name is coming back — so it’s more accurate to talk about a new sport version of the Ram 1500 rather than a ready-made production heir.
