Honda City 2026 Thailand: Prices, Trims, and e:HEV Hybrid Fuel Economy

Honda City has received its second major update of the current generation, launching in Thailand at a special price from 569,000 baht ($16,900). It’s not an all-new model: the 2019-generation sedan gets revised styling, expanded equipment, and a reshuffled trim lineup.

The starting price applies to the petrol City S, with a turbocharged 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine making 122 hp paired with a CVT. Once the launch promotion ends, it rises to 599,000 baht ($17,800). The new e:HEV V hybrid trim now costs 619,000 baht ($18,400), not 589,000 baht ($17,500) as one Japanese outlet reported; its regular price will be 649,000 baht ($19,300).

The gap between the turbo and hybrid sedans has narrowed to 50,000 baht. The petrol version produces 173 Nm and returns 22.7 km per litre — roughly 4.4 L/100 km. The e:HEV pairs a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre engine with two electric motors, with the traction motor delivering 109 hp and 253 Nm. Rated efficiency reaches 27.8 km/L, or about 3.6 L/100 km. Over 10,000 km, the hybrid would theoretically save around 80 litres of fuel.

The exterior gets a new grille, bumpers, LED headlights, and a horizontal light bar. However, the most notable tech upgrades didn’t make it to every trim. A 360-degree camera system, ambient lighting, and a 10-inch touchscreen arrive starting with the e:HEV SV. The more affordable S and e:HEV V get an 8-inch display instead.

Honda Sensing — with adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking — is standard across the range. The range-topping e:HEV RS adds wireless charging, an auto-dimming mirror, and sportier styling. Its launch price is 739,000 baht ($21,900).

The update has made the hybrid the City’s main draw: after the base turbo trim, the lineup jumps straight into three e:HEV variants. Still, the V’s attractive price comes at the cost of the surround-view camera, the larger screen, and some trim details — buyers need to step up to at least the SV, at 689,000 baht ($20,500), to get them.
