Zeekr X vs Volvo EX30 2026: European registrations, price, range and charging compared

The Zeekr X is longer, charges faster and costs barely more than the Volvo EX30. Yet the European market went with the familiar Swedish badge: so far in 2026 the EX30 has collected 18,638 registrations, while its Geely relative managed only 350. That is a gap of more than 53 to one. The figures come from the Spanish outlet Forococheselectricos, which does not name the source of the statistics.

Both crossovers belong to the Geely group and sit on the same SEA2 architecture. At 4.45 metres the Zeekr X is 22 cm longer than the Volvo, and its versions produce between 272 and 428 hp. Range reaches 446 km WLTP and peak charging power is 230 kW: the Zeekr X gained those figures along with its new Golden Battery, taking the pack to 80% in 19 minutes. Spanish prices start at €37,137.

The Volvo EX30 is shorter and charges more slowly: the entry version offers 272 hp and 337 km WLTP, while the Long Range stretches to 476 km at 150 kW and needs 28 minutes for the same 80%. Its starting price, though, is €35,800. The buyer gets not only the cheaper car but also a brand with a familiar dealer network and European production in Ghent, Belgium.

The comparison still needs a caveat. Zeekr only began official sales in Spain in the second quarter of 2026, and the company is still building local showrooms and service infrastructure: in two months on sale the Zeekr X has gathered 12 registrations in the country against 891 for the EX30 between January and July. So those 350 registrations say less about the Zeekr X hardware than about the price of arriving late. While the brand builds trust and a service network, an 80 kW charging advantage carries less weight than the availability of servicing.
