Toyota Corolla Cross GR SPORT: GR parts prices, body kit and ride height

The full set of core GR upgrades for the Toyota Corolla Cross costs at least 453,200 yen ($2700) — and that is before fitting and paint. The figure covers the aerodynamic kit, the body braces with dampers and the side window deflectors. The hybrid system gains no extra power, while ground clearance at the front drops by 23 mm.

Toyota has not launched another standalone “GR version”. After the lineup was refreshed in July, the range still includes the regular Corolla Cross GR SPORT, and the newly published figures belong to the accessory catalogue used to personalise it further. The GR SPORT itself sells in Japan for 4,077,700 yen ($24,800), runs a 2.0-litre hybrid and comes only with E-Four all-wheel drive.

The kit combining the front spoiler, side skirts and rear skirt is priced at 242,000 yen ($1476). The front element stretches the car by roughly 52 mm and cuts ground clearance by 23 mm, while the rear one adds 6 mm to the length and lowers the edge of the bodywork by 5 mm. On broken roads and steep ramps that look will demand more care. Another 169,400 yen ($1033) buys the Performance Damper set with the additional braces.

Toyota says the dampers and braces reduce minor body vibrations and improve stability. The sport window deflectors cost 41,800 yen ($255): the aerodynamic ridges on them are meant to sharpen how the car responds during lane changes. The company offers no independent measurements of the effect. Together with the car, the three main options push the total to 4,530,900 yen ($27,600) — roughly 11% above a standard GR SPORT.

The real bill will be higher, because the official accessory prices exclude fitting and paint, and the final sum is set by the dealer. The extra spend buys a more aggressive look and some chassis work, but it does not turn a family crossover into a more powerful model.
