Ford Bronco Raptor 4600 at Vegas to Reno 2026: driver, specs and race dates

Ford Racing is fielding the Bronco Raptor 4600 at the 2026 Vegas to Reno, a 500-mile desert run across Nevada on August 12-16. Bailey Campbell, who builds her own race cars, drives the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 machine.

Ford Racing has announced that the Bronco Raptor 4600 race prototype will contest the 2026 Best in the Desert Vegas to Reno. Competitors face a punishing route of more than 500 miles (over 800 km) across the Nevada desert.

Bailey Campbell will be at the wheel, racing for RTR Vehicles Off-Road since 2025 — the same shop behind the production Bronco RTR. She started out in rock crawling and moved up to the top-tier Ultra4 4400 class while still a teenager.

Campbell builds and preps her race machinery herself. In the 4400 class she became the first woman to lead King of the Hammers, and she covered her first 900-kilometer distance solo. In 2024, backed by Ford Racing, she finished fifth in the Rebelle Rally in a 2024 model year Ford Ranger Raptor, and in 2025 she ran the Mint 400 in RTR’s Bronco 4600.

The Bronco 4600 race car has already proved itself on the Vegas to Reno route. In 2024 the Bronco family gave the brand a win in the stock midsize class along with first and second places in class 4600.

Technically the race car is based on the production Bronco Raptor. It runs a turbocharged 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6. For desert duty the engineers beefed up the brakes, suspension and chassis and fitted 35-inch tires on beadlock wheels. Race week runs from August 12 to 16, 2026.
