Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S and GLS 63 2027: German Prices, 0-100 km/h Times and Specs

Mercedes-AMG has opened orders in Germany for the updated GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ and GLS 63 4MATIC+. Prices including local VAT start at €170,045 for the GLE, €175,662 for the coupe-styled version, and €193,684 for the GLS. Delivery or factory pickup is billed separately.

The main technical change is hidden under the hood. The 4.0-liter V8 M177 Evo keeps its previous 612 hp and 850 Nm, but now gets a flat-plane crankshaft, along with reworked intake, exhaust, injection system and turbochargers. AMG had already unveiled the updated GLE 63 S with this engine. According to AMG, cutting rotating mass should make the engine more responsive and quicker to rev.

The 48-volt system's starter-generator can briefly add 23 hp and 205 Nm. Mercedes-AMG does not claim a combined output of 635 hp, though: engine and electric-assist figures cannot simply be added together. The GLE 63 S hits 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, the GLS 63 in 4.2 seconds. Top speed on both cars is capped at 280 km/h.

Standard equipment includes air suspension, active roll stabilization, an electronic rear differential lock and all-wheel drive with variable torque distribution. In Trail mode, ride height rises by 55 mm, while the sport programs lower the car by 10 mm. The GLE is available with wheels up to 22 inches, the GLS up to 23 inches.

Order books are so far confirmed for Germany only. There is no information yet on official deliveries of the updated GLE 63 S and GLS 63 to Russia.
